Vilonia lost to Jacksonville back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Titans 6-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Riley Pate spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Ace Sowell was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Carter Brown, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Vilonia's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Jacksonville, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Looking ahead, Vilonia will head out on the road to square off against Lonoke at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jacksonville, they will be playing at home against Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
