Softball Recap: Junction Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Junction challenged Hondo on Saturday. The Junction Eagles lost 17-2 to the Hondo Owls.

Junction's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Hondo, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Junction will square off against Johnson City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnson City will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Hondo, they will welcome Sabinal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hondo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
