Volleyball Recap: Taft Takes a Loss

Taft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Valley Bulldogs. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in October of 2021.

Taft's offense was headlined by Melody Franks and Ali Swearengin, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Karsynn Owens and her three assists. Mckenzie Montes controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Golden Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3-1.

Taft didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Arvin on the 23rd. As for Golden Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against South on the 23rd.
