Basketball Recap: Manhattan Village Academy Takes a Loss

Manhattan Village Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Harlem Village Academy Vipers and fell 58-9. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Silver Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 82-9 back in December of 2024.

Manhattan Village Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Harlem Village Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4.

Manhattan Village Academy and Harlem Village Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Manhattan Village Academy (ranked 533rd) will meet School of the Future (ranked 37th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Harlem Village Academy will square off against Esperanza Preparatory Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday down 216 places (408 vs. 192).
