Volleyball Recap: Riley Folse and Addison Billiot Secure Win for Houma Christian

Houma Christian proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Charles Catholic Comets, sneaking past 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Houma Christian got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 18-25, 15-9.

Leading Houma Christian to victory were Addison Billiot and Riley Folse. Billiot had 23 digs and two aces, while Folse had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Billiot has posted since back in September of 2024. Kayleigh Pierce also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Houma Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for St. Charles Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Houma Christian will challenge Berwick at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Charles Catholic, they will take on Academy of the Sacred Heart in a tournament on Sunday.
