Softball Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Oxford came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-0 to the Lewisburg Patriots. The Chargers have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Oxford's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Lewisburg, their record is now 16-12.

Coming up, Oxford will challenge Southaven at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Southaven has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.06 runs per game on average), something Oxford will no doubt try to take advantage of. Lewisburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
