Paramus had lost seven games straight , but after bumping their record up to 5-11 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Hackensack Comets. The game was the first time the Spartans have beaten the Comets on their field since May 12, 2021.

As for Hackensack, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9. Comets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Paramus since on Tuesday.

For Hackensack's part, Christian Pelaez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Coming up, Paramus is taking a road trip to challenge Dwight Morrow at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hackensack, they will welcome Ridgewood at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Maroons' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Comets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
