The MacDonald Condor will square off against the Monta Vista Matadors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. MacDonald is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

MacDonald proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Palo Alto 5-4.

Ileyah Sanchez made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off ten hits (and only one walk). Sanchez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Kyleena Stone was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Monta Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to Santa Clara.

Monta Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for MacDonald, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
