Preview: Glendale Nitros vs. Burbank Bulldogs
The Glendale Nitros will head out on the road to take on the Burbank Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Glendale strolled past Hoover with points to spare, taking the game 64-50.
Meanwhile, Burbank's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 74-73 to Burroughs. While losing is never fun, Burbank can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 891st, while Burroughs is ranked 292nd).
Glendale's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Burbank, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
Glendale strolled past Burbank in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 72-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glendale since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
