Basketball Recap: Calvary Lutheran Takes a Loss

Calvary Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Macks Creek Pirates and fell 70-37. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in February of 2018.

Macks Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Ratliff led the charge by shooting 5-for-8 from downtown and almost dropping a double-double with 21 points and nine assists. India Willis was another key player, going 8-for-13 to rack up 18 points and six steals.

Calvary Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Macks Creek, their record is now 21-4.

Calvary Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Macks Creek, they have already played their next game, a 44-34 defeat against St. Elizabeth on the 1st.
