Baseball Recap: Ennis Takes a Loss

Ennis has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.8 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Ennis and nudges their season record down to 12-11-2. As for Midlothian Heritage, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-7.

Coming up, Ennis is taking a road trip to challenge Corsicana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.8, the Tigers 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Midlothian Heritage, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-1 win against Cleburne on the 19th.
