Soccer Recap: Palmetto Takes a Loss

Palmetto and Lakewood Ranch squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Palmetto had to settle for second. They lost 4-0 to the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Palmetto has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12-2 record this season. As for Lakewood Ranch, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2-2.

Palmetto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakewood Ranch, they will challenge Parrish Community at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Parrish Community will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Lakewood Ranch surely won't give up without a fight.
