Softball Recap: Hesperia Christian Patriots vs. Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle

In what's become a running theme this season, Hesperia Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. Everything went their way against the Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle as the Hesperia Christian Patriots made off with a 14-4 victory. Winning may never get old, but Hesperia Christian sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Hesperia Christian got a massive performance out of Riley Piorkowski, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Terrill, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a stolen base.

On Academy of Careers & Exploration's side, Araceli Manzo (2024) was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kamie Costa (2025), who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and an RBI.

Hesperia Christian pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs per game. As for Academy of Careers & Exploration, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
