Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Takes a Loss

Notre Dame was the 5-1 winner over Farmington when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Knights on Friday, falling 10-4. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Farmington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Notre Dame will challenge Carterville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 11.9 runs per game this season. As for Farmington, they will square off against New Athens at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
