Baseball Recap: Credo Victorious

Credo won the last time they faced Technology and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Gryphon came out on top against the Titans by a score of 9-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gryphon.

Thadeus Cole made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Credo is 6-3 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-8 otherwise. Cole was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tommy Simmons, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Henry Humphreys, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

The victory got Credo back to even at 11-11. As for Technology, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Credo is set to face off against their familiar foe Calistoga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Technology will take on rival Roseland Collegiate Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
