Basketball Game Preview: Tabernacle Torches vs. Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors

The Tabernacle Torches will head out to challenge the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tabernacle will be strutting in after a victory while Tuscaloosa Home Educators will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, everything went Tabernacle's way against Valley Fellowship Christian Academy as Tabernacle made off with a 43-23 win.

Meanwhile, Tuscaloosa Home Educators played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 65-35 loss at the hands of Evangel Christian. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.

Tabernacle has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Tabernacle strolled past Tuscaloosa Home Educators in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 85-68. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tabernacle since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
