Fredonia waltzed into their match on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They breezed past the Southwestern Trojans to the tune of 37-0. The Hillbillies' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

A big part of Fredonia's victory came down to the chemistry between Sophia Utegg and her top target Madelyn Polhamus. Utegg threw for 116 yards and four touchdowns while Polhamus gained 78 total yards and four touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Polhamus a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (three).

One reason for the win was Fredonia's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Elizabeth Morris.

Fredonia pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
