Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Victorious

With a playoff win on the line, St. Mary rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They snuck past the West Point Dragons with a 56-50 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

West Point lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Samuel Kalikilwa, who posted 12 points and three steals. What's more, he also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Edgar Hardwick was another key player, on his way to 16 points.

St. Mary's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for West Point, their loss dropped their record down to 20-4.

St. Mary's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-60 defeat against Sunnyslope on the 21st. As for West Point, they will host Desert Vista at 7:00 p.m. on February 26th. Desert Vista is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
