After a string of four wins, Fremont's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Downtown Magnets Suns by a score of 43-41. The Pathfinders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Suns from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Downtown Magnets found their leader in sophomore Patrick Lei, who posted 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. Downtown Magnets is 9-2 when Lei posts five or more steals, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Huang, who had 17 points.

Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Downtown Magnets, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Fremont will head out to face off against George Washington Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Downtown Magnets, they will host Annenberg at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
