Softball Recap: Silver Creek Black Knights vs. Gowanda Panthers
Silver Creek took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Gowanda, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Black Knights had just enough and edged out the Panthers 4-3 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Black Knights, who suffered an 11-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Maddie Blair spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Rylee Weiskerger was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kyla Ziegler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
The victory got Silver Creek back to even at 2-2-1. As for Gowanda, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
