Preview: Louise Hornets vs. Flatonia Bulldogs
Louise is 2-8 against Flatonia since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Louise Hornets are on the road again and play against the Flatonia Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Louise got the win against Brazos by a conclusive 46-25. The victory was just what Louise needed coming off of a 70-29 defeat in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Louise to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Grant, who scored 13 points along with six blocks and three steals. Grant set a new season high mark in steals with three. Hannah Ochoa was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Flatonia had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.9 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They walked away with a 65-53 win over Columbus.
Louise's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Flatonia, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.
Louise was taken down by Flatonia 57-28 when the teams last played back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Louise was down 41-12.
