The Mount Tabor Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Watauga Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Mount Tabor is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took down Grimsley 69-55. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Watauga on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-42 victory over East Mecklenburg.

Watauga's win came from a few key players Mount Tabor will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jace Blocker, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cade Keller, who went 5-for-12 en route to 17 points and five boards.

Watauga has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Mount Tabor pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
