Recap: Lee Central Stallions vs. Marion Swamp Foxes
The Lee Central Stallions lost against the Marion Swamp Foxes back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lee Central took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marion. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lee Central has scored all season.
Several Stallions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rjay Spann, who scored six points along with two steals. Spann hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiauj Allen, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Jamarius Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with two steals for Marion. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Cusack, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Lee Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Marion, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.
Lee Central and Andrews will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Marion, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mullins at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
