Volleyball Recap: L.E.A.D. Academy Comes Up Short

L.E.A.D. Academy lost against Rocky Bayou Christian on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Knights. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While L.E.A.D. Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Rocky Bayou Christian work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-19, 25-14.

Alayna Lombardo paced L.E.A.D. Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Lombardo got some help from Olivia Harold and her four assists. Jixelle Von Canon controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

L.E.A.D. Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, their victory ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11.

Looking ahead, L.E.A.D. Academy will face off against Escambia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pensacola Area Homeschool at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
