Sharyland had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.1 goals) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They walked away with a 5-3 victory over the Vela Sabercats. Given the Rattlers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Sabercats are ranked 693rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sharyland's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those eight contests. As for Vela, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
