Soccer Recap: EF Academy Takes a Loss

If EF Academy was feeling good fresh off their 11-0 takedown of SEED: LA last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. EF Academy came up short against the Rio Hondo Prep Kares on Monday, falling 5-2. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but EF Academy couldn't quite close it out.

EF Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those eight contests. As for Rio Hondo Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

While EF Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
