Baseball Recap: Maclay Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Maclay can now relate to. They came up short against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Marauders, who until this matchup were averaging 3.48 runs allowed.

This is the second loss in a row for Maclay and nudges their season record down to 16-9. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Maclay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Conquerors have won ten straight at home, while the Eagles won nine straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
