Volleyball Recap: Clever's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Clever lost against Strafford back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Jays lost 3-0 to the Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Blue Jays have suffered against the Indians since October 4, 2021.

Clever took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Addi Johnston and Bella Argo, who picked up seven kills apiece. They were helped by Lauren Bos and Kinsey Coble, who contributed ten assists each. Johnston was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Clever's loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-13-3. As for Strafford, their victory bumped their record up to 27-4-2.

Clever has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Springfield Catholic on the 16th. As for Strafford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Fair Grove on the 16th.
