Baseball Recap: Cedar Crest Comes Up Short

If Cedar Crest was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of J.P. McCaskey last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against the Manheim Township Blue Streaks on Wednesday, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Cedar Crest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson DiBiaso, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that DiBiaso hit this season.

Cedar Crest has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Manheim Township, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Cedar Crest will be playing at home against Daniel Boone at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manheim Township, they are taking a road trip to face off against Northeastern at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
