Baseball Recap: Lakeview Comes Up Short

Lakeview lost to Central Montcalm on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Hornets, falling 16-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vaughn Helmer, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Central Montcalm, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeview will face off against Port Huron Northern at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Montcalm, they will be playing at home against Grant at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
