Softball Recap: Triway Takes a Loss

Triway lost against Northwestern back in May of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans fell 12-8 to the Huskies. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly four runs.

Ashley Braunscheidel and Jesse Starr did some serious damage despite the final result: Braunscheidel scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Starr scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Myah Lester, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Triway has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Northwestern, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Triway will square off against Orrville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northwestern, they will head out to take on Norwayne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
