Mt. Vernon is 2-8 against Marion since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Mt. Vernon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Mt. Vernon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 20 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Belleville East on Wednesday. They fell 5-0 to the Lancers.
