Hueytown had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the McAdory Yellowjackets. 11 seems to be a good number for the Golden Gophers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Hueytown pushed their record up to 20-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for McAdory, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-14 record this season.

Hueytown and McAdory should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Golden Gophers will take on Ramsay at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (47 vs. 225). Meanwhile, McAdory (ranked 143rd) will meet Bessemer City (ranked 333rd) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
