Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Aliya Rapolla and Hayden Murdoch Lead Palm Springs to Victory

Palm Springs had won two straight home games and Shayna Manning did her part to make it three on Monday. The Indians were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors with plenty of help from Manning, who had eight aces, four digs, and one block. She has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last eight times she's played.

While Palm Springs won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 28-26.

Leading Palm Springs to victory were Hayden Murdoch and Aliya Rapolla. Murdoch had nine digs and one assist, while Rapolla had ten kills and one assist. What's more, Rapolla also posted a 42.9% hitting percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in August of 2024.

Palm Springs' victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Desert Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Palm Springs will be playing at home against Indio at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Desert Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against California Military Institute at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Conquerors their first taste of in-conference action this season.
