Volleyball Recap: Centralia Comes Up Short

Centralia lost against Hillsboro back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Orphans fell 2-0 to the Hawks.

Centralia was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 27-25.

Rorie Lambert paced Centralia's offense, picking up seven kills. Lambert also shared the team's lead in assists with Marley Edson: they picked up seven each.

Centralia's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Hillsboro, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2-4.

Centralia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Metro-East Lutheran on the 20th. As for Hillsboro, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Belleville East on the 20th.
