Softball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Rogers and Little River Academy, and Little River Academy kept the tradition alive. The Rogers Eagles came up short against the Little River Academy Bumblebees on Tuesday, falling 18-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Bumblebees since April 21, 2017.

Rogers saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kinley Caldwell, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Caldwell also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Little River Academy, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

While Rogers had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
