Baseball Recap: West Campus Takes a Loss

Fairfield hit West Campus with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors came up short against the Falcons, falling 12-1. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

West Campus saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Magnus Holtz, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

West Campus now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Fairfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

West Campus will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Armijo at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Fairfield, they have already played their next contest, an 8-4 victory against Burbank on the 14th.
