Northview is a perfect 3-0 against West Covina since August of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Vikings will square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

Northview is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Alta Loma on Friday. The Vikings and the Braves were almost perfectly matched up, but the Vikings suffered a 21-20 defeat. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Northview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Isaiah Lucero and Jaishon Bledsoe. Another thorn in Alta Loma's side was Rudy Velazquez, who picked up a sack and made 17 total tackles.

Meanwhile, West Covina waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Panthers 35-13. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Panthers are ranked 521st).

West Covina's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Northview, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-2.

Northview strolled past West Covina in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 34-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
