St. Patrick extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 6-4. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the East Central Hornets 52-20. That's more bragging rights for the Fighting Irish, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for East Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

East Central's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makayla Thornton, who posted 11 points. That was a full 55% of the Hornets' points, marking the fourth time in a row Thornton has earned more than a third of the team's points.

Coming up, St. Patrick is taking a road trip to face off against Ocean Springs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Greyhounds' defense has only allowed 24.7 points per game this season, so the Fighting Irish's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for East Central, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Robertsdale at 5:00 p.m. on December 2.
