Hahnville typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday St. Augustine proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Tigers. The win was nothing new for the Purple Knights as they're now sitting on three straight.

Ivell Oatis looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kenyon Hughes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Isaiah Fields was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

St. Augustine's record now sits at 15-9. As for Hahnville, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-12.

Looking ahead, St. Augustine will head out to face off against Holy Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Thibodaux's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Hahnville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
