Basketball Game Preview: Cristo Rey Jesuit Hornets vs. SEED

The Cristo Rey Jesuit Hornets will challenge SEED at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cristo Rey Jesuit took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. They came out on top in a nail-biter against The Gunston School, sneaking past 40-38.

SEED played against Green Street Academy on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

The win (which was SEED's third in a row) raised their record to 8-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points over those games. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Cristo Rey Jesuit came up short against SEED in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 44-32. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of SEED's Kahmani Gaither, who posted 20 points and five boards.
