Volleyball Recap: Menomonee Falls' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Menomonee Falls can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Fort Atkinson Blackhawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Phoenix also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

Menomonee Falls never let Fort Atkinson on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Sam Barkimer paced Menomonee Falls' offense, picking up nine kills. Barkimer got some help from Nate Kapp and his 18 assists. Barkimer was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Menomonee Falls' victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Fort Atkinson, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Coming up, Menomonee Falls will square off against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fort Atkinson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Middleton on the 15th.
