Softball Recap: Riverdale Beats Cory-Rawson for Their Third Straight Win

Riverdale extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 7-4 in the process. Everything went their way against the Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets as they made off with a 16-1 win. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fighting Hornets, too.

As for Cory-Rawson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Cory-Rawson's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Bonnett, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Riverdale wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-4 loss against Upper Sandusky on the 26th. As for Cory-Rawson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 22-2 defeat against Ridgedale on the 28th.
