Baseball Game Preview: Winfield Warriors vs. Fort Zumwalt North Panthers

The Winfield Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Fort Zumwalt North Panthers at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The last six games Winfield has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, Winfield had just enough and edged out Holt 3-2.

Warren Conrad spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Colin Morse, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Fort Zumwalt North made easy work of Ladue Horton Watkins on Saturday and carried off an 8-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Winfield's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Fort Zumwalt North, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Winfield suffered a grim 17-9 defeat to Fort Zumwalt North in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
