Softball Recap: Oswego Panthers vs. Ottawa Pirates

Oswego scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 16-11 win over the Ottawa Pirates. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oswego.

Oswego got a massive performance out of Rikka Ludvigson, who went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Kaylee LaChappell, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Oswego pushed their record up to 10-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Ottawa, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Oswego will head out on the road to square off against Downers Grove North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Downers Grove North's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Oswego's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ottawa, they will head out on the road to challenge LaSalle-Peru at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
