Baseball Recap: Queen Creek Comes Up Short

Queen Creek blew Gilbert out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Gilbert got their revenge. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 11, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Queen Creek and nudges their season record down to 11-5. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Gilbert, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-12.

While Queen Creek had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
