Basketball Recap: Patriot Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Mountain View came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Patriot, but Cheyenne Sweeney wouldn't allow it. The Patriot Pioneers put the hurt on the Mountain View Wildcats with a sharp 66-45 victory on Thursday thanks in part to Sweeney, who posted 24 points and seven boards. Those 24 points gave her a new career-high.

Patriot's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Mountain View, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Patriot will head out to challenge Osbourn Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mountain View has already played their next contest (against Forest Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
