Basketball Recap: Gloucester County Christian Comes Up Short

Gloucester County Christian lost against King's Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gloucester County Christian Conquerors fell 39-28 to the King's Christian Knights. The contest marked the Conquerors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Gloucester County Christian lost, don't look at Colby James. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Pierantozzi, who posted five points.

King's Christian was led to victory by Cam Homer and Matt Johnson. Homer had 14 points, while Johnson earned 13 points.

Gloucester County Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for King's Christian, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-6.

Gloucester County Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-30 win against Calvary Academy on the 24th. King's Christian has also already played their next contest, a 52-44 defeat against Highland Regional on the 25th.
