Volleyball Recap: Skyy Green Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Liberty County

Ware County won the last time they faced Liberty County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Gators narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Panthers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gators have posted since September 17, 2024.

Ware County was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (63-56), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 13-25, 28-26, 15-12.

Ware County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Skyy Green led the charge by getting eight kills and six assists. That's the most assists Green has posted over her last six contests.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Wasdin, who had eight assists and three aces.

The victory got Ware County back to even at 4-4. As for Liberty County, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Coincidentally, Ware County and Liberty County will both be playing Beach the next time they take the court. The Gators will head out to face the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
