Volleyball Recap: Hilbert Takes a Loss

Hilbert was the 3-0 winner over Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves lost 3-0 to the Resorters on Tuesday. Wolves fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Resorters since Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-21, 25-20.

Alaina Dohr paced Hilbert's offense, picking up eight kills. Dohr got some help from Addison Grenzer and her eight assists. Grenzer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mia Dennis, each putting up two.

Hilbert has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Coming up, Hilbert will challenge Kohler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Sheboygan Christian on the 25th.
